Yes, East Tenn Rent-Alls delivers. We bring rental equipment to job sites, driveways, and farms across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia from our three stores in Johnson City, Greeneville, and Bristol, VA. Call the store nearest your address, tell us what you need and where it is going, and we will schedule the drop and the pickup. We have been doing this in the Tri-Cities since 1962.
Not everything we rent fits in the back of a pickup, and not everyone has a truck rated to pull it. Delivery solves that. It also solves the quieter problem: the hours you lose driving to the store, loading, driving back, and doing it all again in reverse when the job is done.

What We Deliver
If it is in our catalog, we can usually get it to you. Delivery makes the most sense for equipment that is heavy, awkward, or requires a truck and hitch most customers do not have.
- Excavators and skid steers. Machines that need a rated trailer and a truck to match. This is the most common delivery request we get.
- Aerial lifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. Tall, heavy, and not something you want to load yourself.
- Trailers, including dump trailers. If you do not have a tow vehicle for it, we can bring it. See our dump trailer rental page for that specific machine.
- Compaction equipment, trenchers, and augers. Heavy for their size and rough on a passenger vehicle.
- Generators, light towers, and heaters. Often needed on a schedule, and often needed somewhere without anyone free to go get them.
- Full job site packages. If you are running a project that needs several pieces, we can stage the whole load in one trip instead of several.
Smaller tools and hand equipment are usually faster to pick up yourself, but if they are going out with a larger load anyway, tell us and we will put them on the truck.
How Delivery Works
The process is short and it starts with a phone call, because delivery depends on where you are, what you need, and what the schedule looks like that week.

Not the store nearest you, the store nearest where the equipment is going. That is usually the fastest route and the shortest wait.
Tell us the equipment and the address.
We will confirm availability and let you know what delivery to that location involves.
Pick your window.
We will schedule a drop time that works with your job. Give us as much notice as you can, especially in spring and summer when equipment moves fast.
We deliver and walk you through it.
Our driver places the equipment where you need it, within reason for the site, and goes over operation and safety before leaving.
Call when you are done.
We come get it. You do not have to load it, haul it, or find time to return it.
Process
What We Need From You Before We Roll
A delivery goes smoothly when the site is ready for it. A few things to have sorted before the truck arrives:
- A clear path in. Our trucks and trailers need room to get in, turn, and get back out. Narrow gates, low branches, and soft ground are the three things that most often stop a delivery at the curb.
- Somewhere solid to set it. Heavy equipment sinks in saturated ground and cracks decorative concrete. Tell us what the surface is and we will tell you whether it will hold.
- Someone on site, or clear instructions. Someone who can sign, take the walkthrough, and answer a question is best. If nobody can be there, tell us in advance and we will work out how to handle it.
- Accurate directions. A lot of job sites in this region do not have a street number yet, and GPS is not always right out in the county. A landmark or a cross street saves everyone time.
- Utility awareness. If your project involves digging, call 811 before we deliver, not after. Tennessee and Virginia both require it. Plan in advance so waiting for the 811 results doesn't eat into your rental time.
Why Delivery From a Local Yard Is Different
A national chain routes a delivery from wherever the truck happens to be. We route it from one of three stores inside the region you are working in, which usually means a shorter haul and a tighter window.
It also means the person you talk to knows the area. When you say the job is off 11E past Chuckey, or up a gravel drive in Unicoi County, our counter staff know what that means for getting a trailer in there. That conversation is worth more than it sounds, because the deliveries that go wrong are almost always the ones where nobody asked about access.
East Tenn Rent-Alls has been family owned since 1962, now in its third generation. Our technicians service every machine between rentals, so what comes off the truck starts and runs.

How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is quoted per job, because it depends on the equipment, the distance, and the site. Call the store nearest your address with those three details and we will give you a straight answer before anything is scheduled.
How far in advance should I schedule delivery?
The sooner the better, particularly in spring and summer when excavators, skid steers, and lifts move quickly. Some deliveries can be handled on short notice depending on the day and the load. Call and ask rather than assuming either way.
Do I need to be there when the equipment is delivered?
It is better if someone is. Our driver walks through operation and safety at drop-off, and having someone on site means questions get answered before the job starts instead of during it. If nobody can be present, tell us when you schedule and we will work out the arrangements.
Will you pick the equipment up when I am finished?
Yes. Call the store when you are done and we will schedule the pickup. You do not need to load or haul anything back yourself.
