POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Rental Periods/Rates/Terms:
All equipment is available to rent on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. Some equipment and tools are available on a 4 hour basis. Most equipment has a one day minimum. On equipment with hour meters a day’s use is 24 hours time and 9 hours metered use; weekly rentals are for 7 days and 63 hours metered use; monthly rentals are for 28 days and 252 hours metered use. Additional charges will apply for longer time or hours put on equipment when equipment is returned. Rental rates are based on four hour, daily, weekly, and monthly periods. Damage Protection Program rates are based on the total rental rates. Other rates and charges may apply and are subject to change. All rentals are charged for time out not time used. Rental Payment, Rental Contract Requirements and Credit Accounts:
All rentals require a deposit or are paid in advance. East Tenn Rent-Alls accepts either cash, a valid credit card or an open check as a deposit for rentals. All persons renting must also supply a valid drivers license, phone number, and jobsite location for security reasons and sign the contract and inspection forms before equipment can be delivered or picked up. Commercial accounts may complete a credit application and may be eligible to open an account subject to approval of their application. Insurance:
The customer is responsible for all loss, damage, vandalism and theft, to tools and equipment while on rent. East Tenn Rent- ALLs does not provide insurance coverage for equipment while off our property. Participation in our Damage Protection Program helps customers off-set some of this expense. Charge account customers can waive the Damage Protection Program by supplying East Tenn Rent-Alls with proof of sufficient insurance while equipment is rented. Delivery:
All rentals are quoted from East Tenn Rent-Alls. Customer is responsible for charges to and from the job site. Delivery charges are based on size of equipment, time , and number of personnel needed.
East Tenn Rent-Alls does not assume a pick up time or date. It is the customers responsibility to notify East Tenn Rent-Alls when equipment is ready for pick up. Please call East Tenn Rent-Alls for delivery rates and further details.
Service:
All tools and equipment are delivered cleaned, serviced, full of fuel and in operative condition. All tools and equipment are to be returned to East Tenn Rent-Alls in like condition. On long-term rentals, customer is responsible for following the manufacturers suggested service policy while on rent. Normal daily and periodic servicing is to include checking and maintaining fluid levels (oil, water, antifreeze, etc) and tire wear. Customer is responsible for flat tires and tire abuse/damage. Customer is responsible for contacting East Tenn Rent-Alls immediately upon any loss, damage or mechanical failures of equipment.
Safety and Security:
Customer is responsible for understanding or furnishing qualified operators to insure the safe operation of equipment. Customer is responsible for use and maintenance of the equipments safety features during the rental period, i.e. seat belts, ROPS canopies, safety harnesses, etc. Customer is responsible for using the equipment or tool for the application it is suited for and is responsible for safeguarding the equipment from theft, damage or roll-over while on rent
Weather and Downtime:
All situations are different. Time is adjusted automatically for mechanical failure of equipment, provided East Tenn Rent-Alls is notified immediately, and failure is not caused by customer abuse or neglect. Weather related adjustments are made on a case by case basis. Other extenuating circumstances may occur, a call to East Tenn Rent-Alls will help to resolve these issues. Hour meter limits apply in any case.
Transporting Equipment:
Trailers are provided at no additional charge, for equipment requiring such. Customer must have a suitable vehicle, and approved tow hitch. This will be at the sole discretion of East Tenn Rent-alls.
While we exercise great care in loading and unloading equipment East Tenn Rent-Alls is not responsible for damage to customers vehicle.
Customer is responsible for safety and security of all equipment from and to East Tenn Rent-Alls while in transit.
